COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: France
DATE INTRODUCED: 2004
BACKGROUND:
- For centuries, French coutelieres have been at the summit of European flatware design. Mariposa collaborates with the finest houses to bring you a timeless combination of fashion, tradition, and craftsmanship.
- Finely crafted using the highest grade 18/10 stainless steel (18 parts of chromium to 10 parts of nickel). Forged carbon knife blades that never need sharpening impart durability, with greater resistance to staining and rusting.
- Polyamid-based colored nylon and wooden handles are heat- and hardness-tested and available in a range of colors to complement other Mariposa lines.
CARE AND USE:
- All Mariposa Flatware patterns are dishwasher-safe using the air-dry setting. Avoid extremely high heat settings and harsh detergents.
- High-quality carbon knife blades should be dried thoroughly after washing to avoid rust spots. Polish occasionally with silver-quality metal polish and a soft cloth to help alleviate staining.
- Stainless steel or metal alloy cuffs may discolor if washed with other metals, especially tin and aluminum.
