Care & Use: Artist in Residence close window

Artist in Residence :

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN:  Mexico

DATE INTRODUCED: 2008

BACKGROUND:
Mariposa proudly offers Artist in Residence, created expressly to meet the high-style needs of the sophisticated consumer and distinguished by a softened contemporary perspective.  For Artist in Residence, we renew our dedication to seeking out the most original designers and the finest artisans around the world to create daring tableware and accessories in a myriad of materials. All are steeped in the crafts tradition, yet tailored to a design-conscious lifestyle.

Expert craftsmanship and subtle details make each Artist in Residence piece a work of art. The soft, ancient finish comes from aluminum or brass being coated in nickel, then polished gently by hand; natural highlights are brought to life with gilded accents. Proper care will allow your finely-sculpted pieces to become family heirlooms.

• Always handwash your Jardin Perdu in warm, sudsy water soon after each use (and also before using for the first time), and towel dry immediately. Please use chemical-free, natural soap, to preserve the gentle shine.
• Jardin Perdu exceeds FDA requirements for metal serveware.
• Slight cooling and buffing marks are a natural result of handcrafting.
• NEVER PUT YOUR Jardin Perdu IN THE DISHWASHER OR THE MICROWAVE.
• Coat Jardin Perdu lightly with vegetable oil or spray when serving salads or salty foods.
• Warm food can be served on Jardin Perdu, but refrain from oven-warming. Freeze or chill for summer entertaining.
• Cutting directly on any metal surface will scratch the finish.
