Our Designer: Shelly Bradbury

Our first Artist in Residence, Shelly Bradbury, has won praise for many years as an extraordinary sculptor. What attracts us is the mingled strength and gentleness in her work, and the constant sense of nature as an inspiration— “its delicate balance of simplicity and complexity, magically intertwined,” as she puts it.  

“Because of my broad background in graphic design, ceramics, and sculpture, I can transition  from large forms to small quite easily. And Mariposa is willing to travel anywhere to find master artisans who’ll creatively embrace the challenges in each piece.”
